Andy Geertsen, who Volcano readers voted the best bartender in Olympia, has branched out his music booking skills, creating Andyinoly Productions. This weekend, he presents, along with The Royal Lounge, jazz music moguls Crack Sabbath. Smooth, powerful, emotional, these are just a few words that come to mind when listening to this unique band.

WTF, no way, and really?!

Also come to mind when I realize that these guys, who have graced the stage with Les Claypool and Wolves in The Throne Room, also pull off cover songs from James Brown and Nirvana, with a freshness and style that only a jazz band with the name Crack Sabbath can.

Says Geertsen, "Crack Sabbath is comprised of some of the best well established jazz musicians in Seattle ... a song will seamlessly go from a flawlessly flowing jazz tune into a full blown heavy metal grind ... see them once and you're hooked."
