ok...I gotta call b.s on Stonegate and its rum bar. We were very excited about all the possibilities of a rum bar in Tacoma -- great mojitos with fresh mint- specialty rum drinks that don't taste like juice out of the maraschino cherry jar - and maybe even a "flight of rum" on the menu for tasting their wide selection. Unless things have changed since our visit this past fall, the rum bar is a joke. Early - maybe around 6 on a Friday night - out of mint, no specialty house drinks, rum just like we have at home, and the one drink we had was like fruit punch. Service was SLOW, and they were not busy. We saw several couples leave because of the slow service. Ordered nachos - wanted to leave as soon as they finally arrived at the table. Needless to say - Stonegate has it's specialty, not sure what it is, but it's not a rum bar.
