MATT DRISCOLL: STILL NOTHING BETTER TO DO>>>

Mattsuperbowl_2 2:15: In case you haven't heard, I'll be blogging the Super Bowl live today here on the Spew. My Super Bowl party has gathered, consisting of my wife, Lily J (the young one), Krystle the disgruntled Packers fan, and our two dogs and two cats. I just placed an order at Puget Sound Pizza (half Hipster, half pepperoni extra cheese), and amazingly it will be ready in 15 or 20 minutes. Impressive on Super Sunday. The game kicks off in 40 minutes, so everything is coming together nicely.

3:10: I lied. The game obviously hasn't started yet... It seems it's about to. Apparently the Giants are resilient, but not very good actors. Tom Brady still appears to be sexy.

3:26: Personally, I think the coin-toss could have used a few more people.

3:31: With the start of the game, one can't help but wonder what Tom Brady's sweet ass would look like if he was forced to wear the flat gray pants the Giants sport.

3:59: One quarter down. The Giants 3-0 lead is on the verge of being erased. So far I haven't even seen a decent commercial. Then again, there's probably five hours left of this...

4:06: Our first Gisele sighting.

4:26: The out of work drug-dealer commercial has been the best so far. Apparently, kids these days don't need a dealer to get high. "Safe guard your prescriptions!"

4:38: With all the sleeves that Bill Belichick has cut off sweatshirts, you could clothe a third world country.

4:54: It's halftime. I think at 7-3 this Super Bowl is much closer and lower scoring than most expected. Here's to hoping for a Tom Petty wardrobe malfunction.

5:09: Krystle the disgruntled Packers fan makes the observation "I think Tom Petty's medication is making him sleepy. Probably a combination of Lipitor and Flomax."

6:11: Holy crap! Touchdown Giants! I knew there was a reason I'd been watching Fox for so long. This game just got interesting, and now at least I know I haven't wasted the last three hours and counting of my life.

6:33: Is Wes Welker going to Disneyland? Will the Giants be able to stop the inevitable Patriots comeback?

6:37: Lily J's favorite commercials so far are the ones with the baby investors. I think she's on to something.

6:39: In regards to whether the Giants will be able to stop the Patriots' inevitable comeback, Randy Moss says no! Touchdown Patriots.

6:52: How on earth did Eli Manning not get sacked? That was amazing. There's still hope!

6:56: Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! The Giants score! We scream! The baby cries!

6:59: We're 35 seconds away from the biggest upset in NFL history. The Patriots have all their timeouts, though.

7:03: History is made. There will be no perfect season. The Giants just pulled off the biggest upset in NFL history. Outside of New England, the world rejoices. I think Gisele just broke up with Tom Brady. Did you see the way Belichick retreated like a disgraced pedophile into the losing locker room? This is classic! The Giants have won the Super Bowl!
