GO LOCAL
Local Living Lounge
Go Local! and Tacoma Farmer’s Market will offer chances to see, do, eat, experience, learn and, er, lounge today at the Local Living Lounge. Every Thursday, in conjunction with Tacoma Farmers Market, The Local Living Lounge will occupy the space officially known as Pierce Transit Theater Square by the spitting silver salmon, and will offer a brilliantly dizzying array of activity and engagement under the banner of local living.
Each week, Local Living Lounge lizards will pose a new question intended to spark conversation and generate community input. â€" George Dorn

POETRY/LITERATURE
The River and Sound Review
Jay Bates is noted creator, director, and producer of A River and Sound Review, a non-profit, live literary arts, music, and poetry show that he independently produces for radio in Pierce County. The next live production of River and Sound Review will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the Puyallup Public Library. There, Pennsylvania poet, Philip Terman, will be welcomed as he reads from his new book, Rabbis of the Air. Terman will be joined by fiction writer, Elea Carey, and musical guest, Patrick Bradshaw. All this, plus an audience-engaging round of Name That Book and the next episode of an on-going saga of the greeting card poet, Heathclif Beed, in As the Publishing World Turns. â€" Tammy Robacker
