BRAD ALLEN: MEET MOTOPONY >>>
Artist Mary Kay Johnson, volunteer marketing person for the 108 Occidental Gallery in Seattle and Weekly Volcano cover design artist, sent out a press release regarding Daniel Blue’s new band, Motopony. Blue also writes and designs for the Weekly Volcano.
Release
Have you heard of the new rock-poet band Motopony?
Motopony is a new creative manifestation of ex-fashionisto Daniel Blue and ex-party rocker Robby Rebel, and it's really fucking good.
I'm sure many of you remember the extravagant fashion shows involving music and dance put on by Daniel Blue's Loyalty Conglomerate.
Daniel has been in the studio for the past nine months creating his latest project and the result will astound you.
He has taken all of his poetic genius and mashed it into an musical weaving of Cash meets Donovan.
I can tell you I can't get what I've heard out of my head, and I cannot wait to get an album copy for myself.
Tacoma, this isn't a debut stolen from you, it's a sneaking peek at something truly great, and it's happening in a few days, in Seattle.
Come to this acoustic set at the 108 Occidental Gallery, this Thursday August 28th at 8pm.
This show we are so privileged to host is a supportive measure for this independent, un-funded gallery, right in the heart of that art scene just to the North.
Suggested donation of $5, but with gas and what not, your attendance is quite enough.
