JAKE DE PAUL: TWO GREAT TASTES IN ONE >>>
In addition to being a fine seafood restaurant on its own, the Sea Grill has added a top-notch addition to its Chef's dinner Thursday, Nov. 6 â€" El Gaucho.
Chef Kevin Daft, the new head chef at El Gaucho in Tacoma, will toss his crew in a van and head down the street to its sister restaurant Sea Grill for a combined Chef's dinner. Here's the menu:
El Gaucho ~ First Course
Seared Duck Breast with Citrus Frisee and Fig Glaze
Sea Grill ~ Second Course
Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Chanterelle Mushrooms, Pumpkin Brown Butter and Herb Salad
Sea Grill ~ Third Course
Monkfish and Lobster with Truffle Risotto, Crispy Leeks and Cognac Cream
El Gaucho ~ Fourth Course
Rack of Lamb with Crispy Polenta Cake, Sautéed Spinach and Demi Glace
El Gaucho ~ Fifth Course
Chateaubriand with Asparagus and Reggiano Herb Roasted Roma Tomatoes
Sea Grill ~ Sixth Course
Sautéed Mangos with Coconut Ice Cream, Toasted Macadamia Nuts and Caramelized Brown Sugar Sauce
If you dig this menu but would rather dine in a darker atmosphere, El Gaucho will host the same menu the next night on Nov. 7. Both nights begin serving at 6 p.m.
Each nights cost $125 plus tax and gratuity, parking included.
For reservations, call 253.272.1510.
