WELL THIS SUCKS FOR US >>>
The very popular MoonRise Cafe in Lakewood has reduced its hours to Monday through Friday only, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., in order to balance work with health. It's an unusual move since their weekend breakfasts are packed.
The ownership believes life isn't about working around the clock. Health is important.
Can't argue that.
MoonRise did recently bump up its pastry and muffin selection.

Ok. I admit I was stumped and annoyed by the sign posted in the window. But taste buds were all set and our stomachs rumbled in anticipation at the breakfast that awaited us on Saturday morning. And knowing that the weekends just won't be the same from now on is disappointing to say the least.
We had found a good thing and we hoped it would last. You can't find homemade sausage gravy just anywhere. Fluffy omelets, great pancakes, super coffee, hand shredded hashbrowns and service with a personal touch â€" now a thing of weekend's past.
I know that health is important, but maybe the Monday/Tuesday crowd would be less disappointed. Just a thought.

NOOOOOOoooooo!!!! I love this place and unfortunately, the only times I could go there was on the weekends. I'm with Lisa - perhaps the Monday/Tuesday crowd could give their days...spread the weath.

Having recently suffered a health setback I totally respect your decision. Nothing is worth killing yourself over. I will enjoy the fact that you will be open on weekdays. For a long time I didn't want to tell others about my favorite spot because I didn't want you to become overwhelmed, but just couldn't help myself. You are just too good! Please continue to take care of yourself.
