Play N Trade Tacoma, a part of the fastest growing video game franchise worldwide according to their press release, invites local gamers to compete in the "Local rounds" of the International Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 tournament.

Let's read the press release:

Registration is open now for the "Local Rounds" with an entry fee of $10.00 and will take place at Play N Trade Tacoma on May 8th at 8 P.M..  Local Round prize is a Tritton AX 720 Dolby Surround Sound Headset. The tournament is a 6 man free-for-all format and winners from the "Local Rounds" will compete to advance to a "Regional Round" where the winner will be invited to the "Modern Warfare 2 International Round Finals."

The 1st Place Grand Prize package for the "Modern Warfare 2 International Round Finals" includes $500 store credit, an Xbox 360 Elite bundle, G8 shirt, Steel Series Siberia V2 headset and a pair of Gunnar gaming glasses valued at $1300.  2nd, 3rd and 4th place contestants will all receive products from Steel Series, G8 and Gunnar, respectively.

Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 was one of the most anticipated games of 2009 and was the biggest entertainment launch in history, selling approximately 4.7 million units worldwide in the first 24 hours of its release. 

"Our in-store tournaments are always exciting events," said Donna Chamberlin owner of Play n Trade Tacoma. "Video game competitions are a fast-growing sector of this industry and have even become excellent spectator events."

Any person under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form in order to participate in an M (Mature) rated game.
