1. The spirit of Brian Redman - musician, bartender, friend, superhero - still hangs heavy over Tacoma; it always will. The man touched so many lives, a fact evident long before the tragic scooter accident that took his life last September. Beginning at 3 p.m. today, Doyle's Public House will hold Rock in Peace 2, a benefit for the Brian Redman Memorial Foundation - which helps kids in Pierce County pursue music. There is no cover, but a donation is suggested. Considering the lineup - Fields Without Fences, Last Chance Romeos, The Hands Of Toil, And Those Who Were Dragged, the Revengers, Mahnhammer, DJ Chris Roxx, 12 Gauge Saint, Doxology, Glimpse and Noi!se - it's the least you could do.

2. Tacoma artists Chandler O'Leary and Jessica Spring will unveil a new letterpress broadsheet featuring challenging and inspiring words from women in history titled Drill, Baby, Drill at 7 p.m. inside the Gig Harbor Library at 4424 Point Fosdick Dr. NW, The two will discuss the creative nuts and bolts behind the project and their collaborative process

3. The Pacific Gallery Artists annual art raffle will be held from 7-9 p.m. inside the Pacific Harbors Council of Boy Scouts of America Headquarters in Tacoma. The event will begin with a free reception, art viewing and $1 raffle tickets sales.

4. Puget Brass, a local British brass band that performs traditional and contemporary literature throughout the Pacific Northwest, will perform at 7:30 p.m. inside Building 3 on the Tacoma Community College campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

5. Craig Cootsona joins the Jessica Blinn Quartet for a swing dance beginning at 7:30 p.m. inside the Eagle's Hall in downtown Olympia.
