DINING NEWS, NIBBLES AND BITS >>>
New Café: Shuanna Holt and Shane Siegfried have opened Caffe Dei on Sixth Avenue this morning. The two look great after only three hours of sleep. Check it out at 2607 Sixth Ave. in Tacoma – and be sure to try the organic French toast donut. We posted a few photos below.
Time For Chicken: The Pacific Grill serves a $19.95 three-course chicken dinner every Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m.
Tightwad Tuesday: Every Tuesday Hell's Kitchen serves $2 tacos, $2 wells and $2 beers. Too cool.
Future Things are Coming: Cuisine of Southern Italy cooking class will be held Saturday, July 10 from 2-4 p.m. at Primo Grill, 601 S. Pine St. in Tacoma. The cost is $65. Reserve your spot at 253.383.7000.
Food Matters: McDonald's eyes competitor drinks, tries to dominate.

I'm excited to try Caffe Dei - sounds like just the sort of place 6th Ave has needed for a while.

What a great space they have inside! Awesome looking counters and tables too... they were custom made for them from old bowling lanes from Portland. :)

This place is amazing. Ever since I fist went I've been 100% loyal. It has great art, people, coffee, vegan/gluten free pastries that taste great, books, wifi, seating, really everything you need and more. Check it out for yourself, its right next to Gateway to India and Attitude's Salon on Sixth Ave.
