Yes, the World Cup's still several days away, but we're getting more and more stoked.
We ran a feature story on World Cup parties happening at Doyle's Public House, Paddy Coyne's Irish Pub and The Ram in this week's Weekly Volcano. Jump in on the action here.
Over the weekend we discovered that The Varsity Grill in downtown Tacoma will have a special World Cup menu and drink specials during the televised matches.
We also discovered that Farrelli's Wood Fire Pizza on Sixth Avenue will serve $3 pints, $5 mugs, $9 pitchers and $18 towers full of Widmer beer during the televised matches.
Who else is throwing World Cup parties in the South Sound?

Our Farrelli's store isn't the only place offering the Widmer promotion, our sister store McNamara's Pub & Eatery in DuPont will be running $3.25 Pints of Widmer & $12.50 60 oz. Pitchers of Widmer during world cup matches (keep the Widmer Soccer glass for a $1). Likewise we will open early at Mac's for some of the select early matches. . . stay tuned to our Facebook page for more details on which matches. Lastly, for every day that you come in to spectate the World Cup in our pub, we will give you a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for 2 pairs of tickets to the July 18th International Friendly Match at Qwest Field between our very own beloved Seattle Sounders FC and Scottland's Celtic FC, among other prizes. McNamara's is located just off of I-5 at exit 118 in DuPont. . . .come see what all the fuss is about!
