Today's comment comes from James in response to Rev. Adam McKinney's continuing coverage of Tacoma's Vicci Martinez and her experience on NBC's The Voice.
James writes,
LOL bias much? I watch the show but don't want to take the time to bad mouth the coaches that appeared on there. They all have their own reasons for doing the things they did.....and Christina's girl sings like her? Beverly couldn't be a more different singer. BTW I did thoroughly enjoy Vicci singing Jolene but she more than likely wont win because Javier is far better vocally talented and this is all about the voice of the contestants.

The tool is a fool.
Vicci Martinez is clearly and obviously the best performer on the show.
After watching last night's show, I can see how Javier could be sold to people who like NeYo, but even he is seriously lacking in overall vocal skill. In these days, when so many seem to think that RAP is music, it's no wonder that someone who can (barely) carry a tune can be seen as gifted.
Needless to say, if the voting were left to people who really appreciate good music and good performers with stylistic range, the ability to convey emotion, and with abundant personal style, grace, and genuineness, then Vicci would be a shoo-in.
