If you're looking to incorporate the choco-hazelnut miracle that is Nutella into your life: Nutella syrup is just as good as it sounds.

Self-serve yogurt shops seem to be the trend now, and there is no shortage of them in the South Sound. One of the last to join the Fro Yo So So is Granola's Frozen Yogurt and More in downtown Tacoma. The shop does fro yo with a twist - a heavy focus on snacking smart and healthily. You'll find frozen yogurt flavors such as salted caramel, peanut butter, cake batter and more with some of the usual topping suspects such as brownie bits, fresh fruit and caramel syrup.

The Granola's staff is amazing, making recommendations both fun and tasty such as peanut butter and caramel for "peanut brittle" or cable car chocolate and peppermint stick for "peppermint bark." For toppings, you'll also find chocolate covered coffee beans, breakfast cereals and a fabulous wide variety of trail mix and granolas - including local Mountain Muesli Mixes - hence the name.

And though I admire fro yo immensely, even in the colder months the one thing I implore you to "Eat Now" is Granola's housemade Nutella syrup. Nutella in its chocolate-y hazelnut-y goodness has been incorporated into desserts across the country - including fro yo flavors. This syrup is darn tasty, with an almost caramel like texture, which forces you to use a little elbow grease when pressing the pump. The syrup is so amazing I'd recommend it not only for your frozen yogurt concoctions but the in house coffee and hot cocoa as well.

GRANOLA'S FROZEN YOGURT AND MORE, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1716 Pacific Ave., Tacoma, 253.572.0571
