Ah, memories. I remember kicking back on the lawn in front of the Seattle Center's Mural Amphitheatre every late Friday afternoon for the free Pain in the Grass concert series. I think it was 1994 when Mudhoney rocked it hard. Good times, especially post-show gathering inside the Mecca Cafe.

Anyhoo, Pain in the Grass is now one giant show at White River Amphitheatre, and Godsmack, Rob Zombie and others will be rocking it Sept. 12. Let's read a press release. ...

Seattle, WA - 99.9 KISW -"The Rock of Seattle" - KISW once again will bring Seattle's biggest annual rock event, Pain in the Grass, to White River Amphitheatre. The summer concert festival tradition will be Friday, September 12th.  Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 6th at 10am exclusively through Live Nation.

This year's artists feature Pain in the Grass alumni Godsmack, along with Rob Zombie, Theory of a Deadman, and Buckcherry. Pop Evil, New Medicine, Redlight King, Escape the Fate, Sons of Revelry, and Amanda Hardy round out the line-up.

The roster of previous Pain in the Grass performers includes some of the best rock bands around, such as Alice In Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot and Volbeat.

Before tickets officially go on sale, there will be a pre-sale for loyal fans of KISW on Thursday, June 5th from 10am - 10pm. Those who sign up for the KISW Rockaholic Club will get their pre-sale password in this week's Rockaholic Transmission, giving them access to buy their tickets before everyone else does.

Tickets are $75, $49.50, and $29; $99 4-packs are also available, and discounted tickets can be purchased for $20 with a valid Military I.D. at Ticketmaster outlets. The first 999 lawn tickets sold on Friday starting at 10am will be just $9.99.

A limited number of KISW / Palace Law Premium Experience tickets will be available for $159.99 per person, only through GetMyPerks.com. This experience will include early entry into White River Amphitheatre, premium parking, premium reserved seating, a commemorative Pain in the Grass VIP Laminate, and for those 21 and older, it also includes entry to the exclusive Pain in the Grass Backstage BBQ with Rollin' Smokehouse BBQ from 3-5:30pm and access to the KISW interactive broadcast, where listeners can meet some of their favorite Pain in the Grass bands.
