Drink Bling tonight

RON SWARNER: MAKE IT AN EL GAUCHO NIGHT >>>

How are your progressing on the 85 Things To Do in Tacoma Before You Die list?

Why not knock off number 74 tonight:

74. Sip on El Gaucho’s $100 Bling-Bling martini while draped over its grand piano on a Friday night.

Too expensive?  Here are two other tasty El Gaucho creations:

Latitude 57
Hendricks Gin, a splash of sweet & sour, Triple Sec, and sprite. Muddled over fresh orange, lemon and Serrano chiles ($11)

XXX Martini
Stoli Elit X-tra dry, X-tra chilled, X-tra olives ($18)

Psychotic Reaction

SUZY STUMP: PAPPI SWARNER' JUKEBOX >>>

It's Friday afternoon at the Weekly Volcano World Headquarters, and our fearless leader Pappi Swarner is in a good mood. He's fired up his jukebox, playing Count Five's "Psychotic Reaction." Look like he's headed into the steno pool room for a dance partner. Whoa, this is gonna be good.

Enjoy this week's Pappi Swarner's Jukebox. We are.

KUPS CD review Friday

VOLCANO STAFF: IT'S THAT TIME ONCE AGAIN >>>

Between the Pine Every Friday (except for last Friday, when the kids simply needed a break) we let the fine minds in charge of KUPS 90.1 FM The Sound - UPS's awesome local, student run radio station - review a new CD on our website.

And by "let" I mean beg them on our hands and knees. Luckily, they're nice enough to oblige.

This week Caitlin Boersma, KUPS's Public Marketing Director reviewed the new effort from Between the Pine, Friends, Foes, Kith, and Kin.

You can read Boersma's review by clicking here

Stay out of the Doghouse

BRAD ALLEN: DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER >>>

No doubt that special person on your list could use an ironing board, or another grocery list pad. But she'll remember most the gift that demonstrates elegance, taste and thoughtfulness.

Be smart guys, or you'll end up in the Doghouse.

BRAD ALLEN: GROWTH INDUSTRY >>>

It’s not just a joke: People are really turning to booze in this economy. Brown Forman (BF) the maker of Jack Daniels and Finlandia Vodka reported an awesome quarter.
